David Hobby
Position: PhD student, University of Potsdam
David is a current PhD candidate at the University of Potsdam, working under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Zoran Nikoloski. He holds a master's degree in Bioinformatics, with a specialization in quantitative genetics and the application of multi-omics approaches to predict complex traits in maize using machine learning techniques. During his RESIST secondment, David will spend four months at the University of Cape Town, collaborating with Prof. Dr. Nicola Illing's research group. His research will focus on developing predictive models for drought tolerance in barley seedlings and identifying clusters of associated genomic and metabolomic markers.
