Position: PhD student, Potsdam University and Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology

Rudan is a PhD student at the University of Potsdam and Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zoran Nikoloski. She holds a Master degree in Bioinformatics with background in constrained based modeling, kinetic modeling and network analysis. Her main PhD project consists of parameterization of accession-specific kinetic model of C3 and C4 photosynthesis with the aim of improving photosynthetic efficiency. During her RESIST secondment, she will spend four months at the University of Cape Town and work with the reasearch group of Prof. Dr. Nicola Illing. Together with her colleague David Hobby, another RESIST secondee, she will continue refining the genome-scale metabolic network created by Philipp Wendering and Eugene Kabwe during their previous secondments and help Kelly Shpeherd to construct a lipid module for Xerophyta species.
